LPG is kept under high pressure as a liquid and when released becomes a highly flamable gas that is much heavier than air.

The aim of this part of the Standards is to minimise the risk of this gas escaping into your boat's interior, where it could quickly accumulate, creating an explosive "mix" of gas and air.
